Membrane Protein Day is back for the second edition, on Monday June 16, on the Joseph Aiguier campus in Marseille.
Around 30% of genome-encoded proteins are destined to become membrane proteins. However, their hydrophobic nature and the complex environment in which they evolve make their study complex. Although many tools, both experimental and computational, are available today, it can be difficult for newcomers to the field to find their way around these different approaches.
With this in mind, an entire day will be devoted, for the second time, to bringing together the scientific community around membrane proteins, with the aim of sharing knowledge, discussing innovative projects, and exploring the fascinating world of membrane proteins.
Over 15 speakers will be presenting their work throughout the day, including special guest Thibault Tubiana (Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell - I2BC), who will give a talk entitled "How to Use a Structural Biology Approach to Study a Membrane Protein".
This second edition of MP Day, organized by Lucie Bergdoll and Victoria Schmidt (LISM), will feature numerous oral presentations, as well as two poster sessions, offering a diverse exposure to current research in the field, within the IM2B community.
