On October 8 and 9, 2026, Marseille will host the third edition of Secretion Days, an international scientific conference dedicated to cellular transport within the bacterial envelope. Supported by IM2B, this event will bring together the scientific community for lectures, presentations, and informal discussions at La Timone campus (Grisoli Auditorium).
Following two highly successful previous editions, the Secretion Days are back on October 8 and 9, 2026. This third edition will focus on the dynamic mechanisms of the bacterial envelope. Focused on fostering a friendly atmosphere and promoting the work of young researchers, the conference will feature around twenty oral presentations as well as a poster session designed to encourage scientific exchange and the sharing of ideas within the community. The 2026 edition will also welcome Wilbert Bitter for a keynote lecture on the secretion systems of Mycobacteria.
The full program, which will be released in its final version in late July, will be conducted in English. The meeting will begin on Thursday, October 8, at 1:00 p.m. and will continue through Friday, October 9, at 5:00 p.m.
Registration is free and includes coffee breaks, a cocktail reception on Thursday evening, and lunch on Friday. Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the participants. Abstract submissions are now closed, but spots are still available to attend the event.
