Master's internship

IM2B supports technology platforms by funding 4 internships for Master 2 students.

The Institute's ambition is to promote interdisciplinary research and teaching in the field of microbiology and its applications in bioenergy, environment and health. The aim of this call for applications is to train students at Master's level, giving them access to the latest technologies and strengthening the link between training and research.

The internships are due to start at the beginning of 2026 and will last 6 months.

Applications are open to holders of a Master 1, enrolled in a Master 2 at Aix-Marseille Université or another French or foreign university, including IM2B partner universities (Université de Namur and Philipps Universität in Marburg; Technische Universität Berlin; Université la Sapienza) or the CIVIS European University (Université libre de Bruxelles, Université autonome de Madrid, University of Stockholm, University of Athens, University of Bucharest, Université la Sapienza, University of Tübingen), or the Téthys network.

The four internships on technology platforms funded by the IM2B are as follows (for more details, click on the title):

Cellular and molecular biology (internship completed)

  • Location: Marseille Integrative Structural Biology Platform, Architecture and Function of Biological Macromolecules Laboratory (AFMB, Marseille)
  • Title: Production and characterization of differentially O-glycosylated recombinant proteins for therapeutic targeting

Microbiology

  • Location: Biomass Platform, Institut de Microbiologie de la Méditerranée (IMM, Marseille)
  • Title: Use of heterotrophic substrates by anammox bacteria
