Objective of the call for tenders
The IM2B aims to develop a network of internationally renowned laboratories to foster interdisciplinary research and teaching in the field of microbiology and its applications in bioenergy, the environment and health. By supporting technology platforms, it offers the opportunity to train Masters and PhD students in the latest technologies. It also gives the scientific community access to cutting-edge equipment and skills for their research work. What's more, these infrastructures are an essential link in the transfer of technology to industrial partners, by helping to set up research contracts, partnerships and services.
In support of its strategy of opening up to inter-institute collaborations, IM2B is renewing its call for proposals for "internships at technology platforms", opening it up again this year to inter-institute projects, to encourage the development of new interdisciplinary collaborations.
In line with the IM2B's threefold objective of enhancing the value of its technology platforms, reinforcing its Master's courses by developing interdisciplinarity and professionalization, and encouraging the launch of new collaborations with other Aix-Marseille University institutes, IM2B is launching a call for proposals to finance up to 4 Master 2 internships at IM2B technology platforms for the 2026-2027 academic year, by encouraging the submission of projects carried out in collaboration with another platform or laboratory within the scope of another institute.
These internships must meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Testimonials
IM2B financed my M2 chemistry internship, which I carried out between the "Protein Expression Facility" (PEF) technology platform and the "Bioenergetics and Protein Engineering" Laboratory (BIP). This work enabled me to acquire interdisciplinary skills that are in line with my professional project at the chemistry-biology interface, in particular as part of my PhD at BIP.
