IM2B is recruiting a European Project Manager to implement and manage the Microbio-SEED program, winner of the MSCA COFUND 2025 call for projects. This strategic position offers the opportunity to contribute to an international initiative at the heart of modern microbiology, addressing challenges linked to environmental change, health and bioenergy.
The IM2B is recruiting a European project manager as part of the launch of its Microbio-SEED post-doctoral program, scheduled for October 2026.
The Project Manager will play a central role in the implementation, follow-up and management of this ambitious and strategic program for the Aix-Marseille site. He/she will be responsible for coordinating the selection process for post-doctoral fellows, supporting the successful candidates, organizing training activities and scientific events, and ensuring administrative, financial and regulatory follow-up of the program in liaison with the European Commission, IM2B governance and partners. It will also contribute to the program's communication and dissemination activities.
The Microbio-SEED program will enable the recruitment of 10 international post-doctoral researchers for 36-month projects. The projects, based on an interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral and international approach, will focus on three main scientific areas :
- Diversity: exploring bacterial, viral, algal and fungal biodiversity, its resilience and adaptation to change;
- Emergence and Ecosystems: Interaction between cells: predation, competition, cooperation, symbiosis; Modeling ecosystems and the impacts of change; Emergence of multicellularity;
- Syntheticbiology and innovation: Engineering life for health, the environment and energy.
